On July 26, 2017 the Association testified before the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health regarding the extension of the statutory authority of special needs plans (SNPs). Speaking on behalf of the Association, Executive Director Larry Atkins recommended to subcommittee members to provide a permanent reauthorization of the program.
