On January 3, 2018 the Association submitted a letter to the Senate Committee on Finance supporting the Ensuring Medicaid Providers Opportunities for Widespread Equity, Resources (EMPOWER) Care Act (S.2227), which reauthorizes the Money Follows the Person (MFP) demonstration program. This bill would provide funding for the MFP program through 2022 and help maintain the progress states and the LTSS community have made in rebalancing toward home- and community-based services.
