On February 13th, 2023, the MLTSS Association submitted comments on CMS’ 2024 Medicare Advantage and Part D proposed rule. Among its provisions, the rule includes stricter prior authorization requirements, better incorporates health equity into Star Ratings and provider directories, improves access to behavioral health, and expands access to the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program. We provided CMS with comments on how the proposed changes may impact dually eligible beneficiaries and individuals with disabilities and the need for CMS to holistically evaluate how the proposals would impact Medicare beneficiary equity and access to care.
